Maoists Abduct Two Rajdhani Drivers, Want Leader’s Release in Swap
Maoists kidnapped two drivers of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express between Jhargram and Sarna stations of the South Eastern Railway this afternoon.
Stating that the drivers had defied the bandh call, pro-Maoists group PCPA has taken the responsibility of the attack.
Also, some TV reports suggest that the group has set the conditions for seeking release of the Rajdhani drivers. The group wants their leader Chhatradhar Mahato released from the police custody in a swap deal.
Earlier, media reports had said that around 3.30 pm, some people stopped the train by waving a red flag between Jhargram and Sarna stations..
All Rajdhani Express trains have two drivers and an assistant.
