Indin journalists distorted my interview: Ved Pratap Vedik

Gurgaon: Senior Journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik on Wednesday said his interview with Hafeez Sayeed to Pakistani Media was distorted by Indian journalists and was shown in edited version. “Some of our immoral journalists have shown my interview to a Pakistan channel, by manipulating it. I have clearly said in my interview that separating Kashmir will be very dangerous. You should see my full interview on YouTube,” said Vaidik.

Reacting to Shiv Sena’s demand to arrest him, Vaidik said the group misinterpreted his views and will applaud him after seeing the full footage.

BJP ally Shiv Sena had on Tuesday mounted pressure on Modi government to act against Vaidik for Hafiz Saeed.

“Just saying that the government has nothing to do with the meeting won’t suffice. Had it been a Congress government and any journalist would have met Hafiz or Dawood Ibrahim, BJP would have attacked the government,” an editorial in Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ said.

Further, on BJP leader Subramanian Swamy’s statement where he demanded seizure of Vaidik’s passport, he said that he is a dear friend and such remarks don’t make him feel bad.
