Knife Used to Stab Hiren Mohini Found

Police, which described the assault on an Indian-origin taxi driver in New Zealand’s Auckland city as a ‘frenzied attack’, has retrieved the knife used for stabbing the cabbie, reported PTI.

Hiren Mohinin, aged 39, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in his crashed car early yesterday and police had said that they believed he was assaulted by a passenger.

According to New Zealand Herald, police said that they found a knife that might have been used by attacker in Mohini’s killing.

Mohini’s taxi had crashed into a tree on View Road at about 1.20 am after he was allegedly stabbed by a passenger.

Hywel Jones, detective Senior Sergeant, was quoted as saying that the knife had been sent for forensic examination and 30 investigators are hunting for the killer.
