Kalikho Pul, Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Found Hanging

Itanagar: Former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul has reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday. His body was found hanging at his official residence in Itanagar.
He was the chief minister for a brief period between February and July this year. He rebelled against the Nabam Tuki government of the Congress and became chief minister with the support of 11 BJP legislators.
Later, Pul along with 29 other Congress rebel legislators joined Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA). The Supreme Court recently ordered the removal of Pul as the chief minister. He along with other rebels returned to the Congress fold and Pema Khandu was sworn in as the new chief minister.
Pul was the legislator from Hayuliang. He was the state finance minister in the ministry of Gegong Apang government from 2003 until 2007.
