Jagan Claims Go-ahead from High Command for Telangana Visit

Congress MP from Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy has claimed that he has been given a ‘go-ahead by the party to proceed with his tour of Telangana region and that all issues have been sorted out, said media reports.

Following his meeting with Law Minister Veerappa Moily, he said that he would carry on his yatra, reports said.

Jagan said that he told Moily about apolitical nature of his yatra which was aimed at visiting the families of those who had died of shock or had allegedly committed suicide after hearing the news of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s death, said reports.

“He (Moily) has given a go-ahead. He told me to go and continue with whatever I am doing. In fact, this tour of mine was widely appreciated by him and he had given a very clear indication to go ahead and do what I am supposed to be doing,” he was quoted as saying while talking to reporters after the 20-minute meeting with Moily.

He said that Moily, the in-charge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh, greeted him with a smile and blessed him, reports said.

“When I went inside, he (Moily) greeted me with a smile and then he blessed me (for continuing with the yatra),” he was quoted as saying in Telugu.

Answering a query if misunderstanding with the high command has been sorted out, he said that everything was cleared and sorted out, said reports.

“If at all you call it a misunderstanding, things are now under….everything is clear and sorted out,” he was quoted as saying.

In response to another question he would call on finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, Jagan said: “As far as the meeting with Pranab Mukherjee is concerned, Moily told me that he will brief him.”
