It’s the end of CPI(M) rule in WB, says Mamata

Thrilled with her party’s success in Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee chief said that it is a “victory of people and also beginning of the end of communist rule in West Bengal”.

Youth leader of the party Madan Mitra said that the people had supported Mamata Banerjee because she provided the required leadership to the masses.

Reacting to the trend, Party leader Derek O’Brien said, “It is the beginning of the end of the CPI(M) rule in West Bengal. We presented a case to the people. Our party had a transparent policy of industrialisation. We are not against industrialisation. Rather we want industrialisation, but not at the cost of agriculture.”

Hundreds of jubilant Trinamool activists assembled outside Banerjee’s Kalighat residence to celebrate the party’s performance
