Indian Man Arrested for Gurshan Death

Australian police on Sunday charged a man – Gursewak Dhillon with one count of manslaughter by criminal negligence over the mysterious death of three year old Indian, Gurshan Channa, whose body was found dumped by the side of an isolated road in Melbourne on Thursday.

According to reports, Dhillon, a part-time taxi driver, lived in the same house as Gurshan, his parents and six others.

Gurshan was in Australia with his parents. An initial autopsy conducted on the body had proved inconclusive.

The toddler disappeared from a suburban house on Thursday afternoon while his mother was in the shower and his father was at a nearby library.

His body was found about six hours later around 30 kilometres away.

The child’s distraught parents, who had both been studying in Australia, reportedly attended a prayer service for their son on Sunday.

Dhillon is due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
