India to Send Copies of Kasab’s Confessions to Pak

After the permission of Special Court located at Arthur Jail Road, the copies of confessions which Mumbai Terror suspect Amir Ajmal Kasab made will be sent to Pakistan through diplomatic channels so that 35 wanted persons, , including Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, can be summoned.

Judge ML Tahaliyani yesterday granted permission to the prosecution to send certified copies of the confession made by Kasab to Pakistan

The prosecution led by Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam had petitioned the courts to issue warrants against 35 absconders in the case including the mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, chief of operations of the militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Besides Lakhvi, others who have been named as most wanted in the case are LeT chief Hafeez Muhammed Saeeed, Abu Hamza, Abu Al Kama, Abu Kaahfa, Mujjamil, Zarar Shah, Abu Fahad Ullah, Abu Abdul Rehman, Abu Anas, Abu Bashir, Abu Imran, Abu Mufti Saeed, Hakim Saab, Yusuf, Mursheed, Aakib, Abu Umar Saeed, Usman, Major General Sahab, Kharak Singh, Mohammed Ishfak, Javid Iqbal, Sajid Iftikhar, Col. R Saadat Ullah, Khurram Shahdad, Abu Abdurrehman, Abu Mavia, Abu Anis, Abdu Bashir, Abu Hanjla Pathan, Abu Saria, Abu Saif, Abu Imran and Hakim Saheb.

The court would frame charges against Kasab and two others on Wednesday. On the same day, the accused would be given an opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges, Judge Tahaliyani told lawyers in the court.
