India, Nepal Fail to Strike Trade Deal

Despite wide ranging parleys between visiting Nepal Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, India and Nepal failed to reach consensus on a revised trade treaty on Wednesday.

Citing “informed sources” agencies said that disagreements on a “couple of issues” held-up finalisation of the treaty, but added that the two nations have decided to continue negotiations over the next two days.
