Huge Deployment in Gadchiroli ahead of Polls

Some 50 companies of central security forces will be deployed to deal with Naxal menace in the poll-bound Gadchiroli district where 17 policemen were killed in recent Maoist ambush.

Helicopters, requisitioned by the administration, are stationed them at Gadchiorli, Aheri and Nagpur to assist poll officials in the conduct of free elections, said media reports citing poll officials in the district.

A huge security presence will guard Gadchiroli on Election Day, especially the sensitive zones of the district.
