Fresh Non-bailable Warrant against Sajjan Kumar in Anti-Sikh Riots Case
Fresh non-bailable warrants have been issued against senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and others as they failed to appear before the court to answer charges of their alleged involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, reported IANS.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Lokesh Kumar issued the warrants and asking Kumar and others to be present in court on March 10, report said.
Besides, the court asked the CBI to make sure that Kumar and others were present in the court that day, said report.
The CBI is looking into the cases pertaining to riots in which more than 3,000 Sikhs were butchered in Delhi alone in the aftermath of the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984.
