Four CRPF personnel killed in Naxal ambush in Chattisgarh

Raipur: Four CRPF jawans were killed when Naxals ambushed a road opening party (ROP) of the security forces in Maoist-hit Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in the forest between Murkinar and Cheramungi village in Modakpal area this morning, Additional Director General of Police (Naxal Operations) R K Vij said.

Four other CRPF troopers have also been injured in the attack, an official said.

Additional forces have been rushed to the spot and the bodies of the deceased are being taken out of the jungle.

Meanwhile, a CRPF official said that an intense combing operation has been launched in the region to nab the ultras.
