Four arrested for ‘Sacrifice’ of Five Boys in M’rashtra Village

The Maharashtra police have arrested four people, including three women, for alleged involvement in what is being described as a case of ‘sacrifice’ of five children at a village in the Hingoli district, say media reports.

According to the reports citing local police, five boys – all in the age range of 4-12, were killed at Digras village between December 2009 and March 2010.

The killings came to light recently following which police registered a case of murder against six suspects and arrested four persons Wednesday after conducting searches at their residence, Police Inspector MA Rauf told PTI.

The four accused identified as Parshuram Dalvi, Kalvati Kundlik Mokle, her husband Kundlik Mokle, Asha Dalvi, Vandana Mokle and her husband Vithal Mokle have been sent into police custody till March 22.

The accused reportedly killed the children at the behest of a Tantrik, who promised that Vandana and Vithal could have a baby if they sacrificed 11 children, the reports added.
