‘Embrace preventive steps to battle Covid’

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday laid emphasis on adopting measures to prevent Covid-19 by ensuring that people make Covid appropriate behavior a habit.

Urging all social and business leaders, he said the time has come to put up united efforts to implemented the preventing measures and to motivate people to get themselves vaccinated against Covid.

Last year, the community, social and business organizations worked shoulder to shoulder to fight the pandemic, he said.

The government is daily reviewing the spread of Covid and the positive cases being reported along with recovery. All steps have been taken to provide adequate medical help to all the positive cases in coordination with state and district administration, he said.

Chhattisgarh has recorded 2,069 tests against 10 lakh population on a daily basis as compared to the national average of 1,430 tests. RT-PCR tests have risen from 26 percent in October 2020 to 40 percent in April 2021.
