Separate police forces for investigation and law & order

Bhopal: Home and Jail Minister Shri Babulal Gaur has said that responsibilities for investigation and maintenance of law & order should be entrusted to separate police personnel in police stations of major cities in the state. Initially, the process should be started immediately by dividing separate responsibilities in police stations of major cities. Home Minister Shri Gaur directed this during discussion on 100-day action plan at Mantralaya today. Secretary Home Smt. Seema Sharma, DGP Shri Nandan Dube and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.

The meeting was informed about arrangements for new posts of officers and employees to introduce separate police for investigation and law & order in the state and other issues. Minister Shri Gaur said that in the beginning, separate teams should be formed for investigation and law & order in police stations of major cities. He also directed to start process of registering FIRs through web portal.

Minister Shri Gaur directed strict action against drug peddlers and smugglers in the state. Police presence in field must be visible. They should be alert specially during busy hours. Entire police force right from officer to employee should pay attention to fitness. Every police personnel should play a game positively 3 days in a week.

Minister Shri Gaur said that traffic police and police personnel posted in police stations should apprise people of traffic rules during Traffic Week from January 5, 2014. Information regarding traffic to college students should be given in premises of colleges.

Minister Shri Gaur directed to prepare a scheme worth Rs. 1000 crore for HUDCO loan so that adequate housing facilities can be provided to police personnel. He also directed to set up a police training centre in every police range.

Minister Shri Gaur said that when IGs and DIGs go on tour, they should inform common people about it through press. He said that this help them in getting feedback for solving problems.
