Free Medicine Distribution Scheme to be launched from November 17

Bhopal: Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Free Medicine Distribution Scheme is being launched in the state from November 17. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the scheme from district hospital, Jabalpur. The same day, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra will launch the scheme at Jaiprakash Hospital, Bhopal at 10.30 am.
Under the scheme, 147 kinds of medicine for treatment of various diseases will be made available free of cost to patients at government hospitals. It may be noted that doctors at government hospitals will prescribe only those medicines, which will be available for patients at hospitals.
Dr. Narottam Mishra has urged all the members of the state cabinet to launch the scheme in their respective native districts and districts under their charge between November 17 and 19.
