Dhoni Not to Play in IPL for 10 Days due to Elbow Injury

Following an elbow injury, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has been ruled out of next matches of IPL and he may not be playing for possibly 10 days, said media reports.

In Dhoni’s absence, Suresh Raina will captain Chennai team, said reports.

Dhoni received an elbow injury while batting against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Tuesday’s match at Eden Garden when a delivery from new KKR buy and pacer Shane Bond hit him on right elbow.

In spite of the injury, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 66 in the match and was declared Man of the Match. Also, he took a diving catch to dismiss Owais Shah off Lakshmipathy Balaji’s bowling.

Later, during the post-match presentations, the Chennai skipper was seen sporting a pack and bandage on his right elbow and shook hands left-handed.

Chennai Super Kings will play Delhi Daredevils at the Ferozshah Kotla in the Capital on Friday.
