Despite Shiv Sena Attacks, Rahul All Set to Visit Mumbai

Despite Shiv Sena’s attacks on him, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi remains unfazed and will go ahead with his plan to visit Mumbai on Friday to interact with students and slum youths, reported PTI.

Gandhi’s visit comes following Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray putting question mark on the timing of his visit.

Thackeray had said, “What was the need for this visit now. There may be elections in Bihar, but we will not tolerate anything spoken against Mumbai and Marathi pride.”

Earlier, Gandhi had flayed Shiv Sena over the migrant issue and asserted that India is for all Indians and people have a right to go anywhere.

Sena supremo, in his criticism of Gandhi, got personal and said that the Congress leader is ‘totally frustrated’.

He also raked up Rahul’s mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s foreign origin, saying ‘Mumbai may belong to all Indians but how can it belong to an Italian mummy’.
