Declare Vadgaon-Sheri Seat as Sensitive, Demands Shiv Sena

Following an incidence of firing at the car of its candidate, Shiv Sena has demanded that Vadgaon-Sheri assembly constituency should be declared as sensitive.

The city Sena chief Nana Wadekar petitioned the Election Commission officials to mark the constituency as a sensitive one and provide extra security in order to ensure free, fair and fearless polling.

It may be mentioned that the Sena candidate from Vadgaon-Sheri Ajay Bhosale escaped unhurt in the incident but his driver was wounded when motor-bike borne assailants fired shots at his car yesterday.

He later alleged that his NCP rival Bapu Pathare was behind the attack, which was denied by NCP.
