Curfew Relaxed for Two Hours in Hyderabad

Curfew was relaxed for two hours in old Hyderabad, where communal clashes took place last week, said media reports.

According to police, curfew was eased from 8 am for two hours in areas falling under West, Central and East Zones, said reports.

During the relaxation, no untoward incidence occurred and situation remained peaceful, reports said.

People were seen standing in long queues outside shops to buy essential commodities and many were still waiting for their turn at shops to buy vegetables, milk, foodgrains and so on when curfew was re-imposed from 10 am, reports said.

Police said that in South Zone, curfew was relaxed under 17 police stations in the Old City for three hours from 10 am today, said reports.

Earlier, curfew was released on Thursday.
