Cong-NCP Divided over Choice of Seats
While the Congress – NCP alliance has worked out a seat sharing equation, the partners are now reported to have hit a roadblock over the identification of constituencies to be contested by each party in the October 13 polls to the 288 member Maharashtra assembly.
Some 35 seats, including Mumbai, Konkan, Marathwada and Western Maharashtra, are said to have emerged the bone of contention between the partners, as both claim to have greater chances of defeating the Opposition alliance in these areas.
