Chinese Delegation Calls on Krishna

A delegation of Communist Party of China (CPC) headed by Liu Qibao met External Affaris Minsiter SM Krishna in New Delhi on Wednesday, said reports.

During the meeting, Liu Qibao, who is a member of the powerful CPC Central Committee, took up a range of bilateral issues with Krishna, including trade and investment and cooperation in disaster mitigation.

It may be mentioned that Qibao, also the chief of CPC’s Sichuan Provincial Committee, is heading a six-member delegation to India.

The meeting took place at a time of sharp exchange of words between the two sides over the Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh.
