Case Registered against Perpetrators of Mumbai Terror Attacks in US
A case has been registered in the US in connection with last year’s Mumbai terror attacks, in which six Americans were killed, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has told a Mumbai court.
An FBI agent told the Mumbai court that FBI has questioned Pakistani nationals in connection with terror strikes, but refused to divulge names of those interrogated.
It may be mentioned that a 10-member team of FBI came to Mumbai on August 12 to tender evidence in the Mumbai terror attack case.
PTI quoted Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam as saying that it is for the first time that FBI officials are deposing as witness in a terror case in India.
According to reports, one of the officers personally deposed on Aug 12 in the court saying that forensic tests had revealed that terrorists had come from Karachi to Mumbai via sea route on November 26 last.
In addition, another FBI witness is going to depose this week to shed light on the Mumbai terror attacks conspiracy.
FBI had conducted an independent probe into the terror attack in India.
