BSY Survives Karnataka Trust Scare

The ruling Bhaearitiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the trust motion in the Karnataka Assembly with a voice vote, sources said.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa earlier expressed confidence of winning the trust vote that he would be moving in the state Assembly on Monday.

Talking to reporters on his arrival at the state secretariat, Yeddyurappa said, “We have the blessings of God. I am confident of winning the trust vote and continue for another two-and-a-half years”.

Yeddyurappa has been visiting temples ever since rebels withdrew support to his government.

JDS leader H D Revanna accused Speaker K G Bopaiah and Yeddyurappa of colluding and engaging in illegal acts to win the vote of confidence.
