BJP Terms Removal of Security Forces from J&K ‘Anti-National’

The BJP has said that removal of security forces from some sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir is “anti-national” and that it will moot the issue in Parliament at an appropriate time.

BJP MP M Venkaiah Naidu said that the BJP Parliamentary Party thinks that withdrawing Central Paramilitary forces from these areas is anti-national and that it has take a decision to raise the topic in Parliament at an appropriate time during the ongoing session.

Some local leaders of the party from Jammu and Kashmir attended today’s meeting and gave a presentation on the ground situation in sensitive areas of the state.

Naidu and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley dwelt on the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir and how the lives of locals will be endangered and security imperiled in the region if paramilitary forces are withdrawn.

The prevailing drought situation caused by delay in monsoon and government’s failure to tackle the crisis was also brought up for discussion by some BJP MPs.
