BJP-Sena Seal Maharashtra Deal
In the middle of the adverse season, the Bharatiya Janata Party is reported to have quietly worked out the fine print of its alliance with ideological partners Shiv Sena for the forthcoming polls to the Maharashtra Assembly.
The official announcement of the alliance, largely expected to remain close to the 171:117 equation with minor alterations, is expected over the next couple of days.
Sources suggest that contentious issues have been ironed out and the alliance is in its final stages bringing cheer to the BJP for having managed to seal the deal even before the poll schedules have been announced.
The early Sena-BJP alliance is sire to fillip chances of the saffron alliance, especially as doubts still shroud the future of the ruling Congress-NCP alliance in the state.
