BJP Meets to Frame Future Strategies

Amid individual and ideological war, the BJP is meeting on Friday evening to formulate agenda for its national executive meet scheduled to commence from Saturday.

The party’s office bearers will work out the outline of party’s political and economic resolutions in the meeting, that’s its way ahead.

In the meeting, senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley will not be present as he has resigned from the post of general secretary, citing the ‘one man, one post’ principle.

Last week, former BJP vice-president Yashwant Sinha threw a bombshell by quitting all party posts and blaming leadership for looking over the principle of accountability and a conspiracy of silence.

His resignation followed senior leader Jaswant Singh’s openly questioning the meaning of Hindutva in an explosive interview to a TV channel.

LK Advani’s close aide Sudheendra Kulkarni wrote an article saying that there is complete disarray in the top leadership.

With LK Advani making it clear he wants to quit as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, a succession battle has started though Sushma Swaraj seems to have won the battle for now by becoming the deputy leader.
