BJP Divided House, Says Bhagwat

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has again attacked the BJP terming it as a divided house.

Speaking at a function in Pune, Bhagwat said that the BJP must not forget its roots.

Bhagwat said, “A divided house cannot function properly…they have to know their roots.”

In the past, Sangh chief has rapped the saffron party for their public spats. Ironically, the RSS has maintained that it will not intervene in the party’s functioning.

Recently, he had meeting with top BJP leaders recently, including party chief Rajnath Singh.

Reports said that in the 30 minutes meeting between the two, several issues related to BJP and its future were discussed.

Rajnath Singh’s tenure ends in December, and the RSS is reportedly insisting that his successor should be someone from outside Delhi.

The current favourite is party in-charge of Maharashtra Nitin Gadkari.
