Bhujbal Is Maharashtra Dy CM for Third Time
Senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has been appointed the deputy chief minister of Maharasthra for the third time, announced a top party leader.
Bhujbal was elected as the leader of NCP legislature party in a meeting, following which senior leader Praful Patel announced his selection to media at a press conference in the evening.
For the rank, Bhujpal was pitted several strong leaders like state NCP chief RR Patil and party strongman Ajit Pawar, nephew of party leader Sharad Pawar.
It may be mentioned that Bhujbal, an aggressive former Shiv Sainik, was the state deputy chief minister from Oct 18, 1999-Dec 23, 2003.
He was re-appointed Dec 4, 2008, for a second term to the post, but minus the home portfolio that earlier went with it.
