Attacks across India if Army Doesn’t Withdraw from Kashmir Valley: Al-Qaida

The 313 brigade, which is an operational arm of the al-Qaida, has threatened to wreak havoc across India, especially during forthcoming international sporting events, until the Indian Army withdraws from the Kashmir valley, reported ANI.

In the terror message sent to ‘Asia Times Online’ shortly after Saturday’s blast in Pune, it warned foreign teams against coming to India during the coming Hockey World Cup and the prestigious Commonwealth Games (CWG), said report.

“We warn the international community not to send their people to the 2010 Hockey World Cup, the Indian Premier League and Commonwealth Games. Nor should their people visit India, if they do, they will be responsible for the consequences,” wanted terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri was quoted as warning.

In his message, the chief of 313 brigade was quoted as saying: “We warn the international community to play its role in getting the Kashmiris their right to self-determination and preventing India from committing brutalities in Kashmir.”

Besides, Kashmiri said that his outfit would seek retaliation for the demolition of the Babri Mosque and the 2002 Gujarat riots, said report.

“We assure the Muslims of the subcontinent that we will never forget the massacre of the Muslims in Gujarat and the demolition of the Babri Masjid. The entire Muslim community is one body and we will take revenge for all injustices and tyranny. We again warn the Indian government to compensate for all its injustices, otherwise it will see our next action,” he was quoted as saying.

It may be mentioned that the explosion in Pune was reportedly triggered as part of what is called the Karachi Project planned by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), said report.

Suspected Lashkar operative David Coleman Headley arrested last year in Chicago had revealed the details of the alleged Karachi Project to the USA’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Headley had recced areas in Pune near the blast site. He had reportedly also recced other cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Pushkar and Goa, staying close to Jewish prayer centres in these cities.
