ATS Identifies Yasin Bhatkal as Key Conspirator of Pune Blast

Maharashtra Anti Terror Squad (ATS) has identified Yasin Bhatkal, believed to be a relative of Indian Mujahideen founder Riyaz Bhatkal, as one of the chief conspirators of the Pune German Bakery blast in which 17 people were killed, said media reports.

Reports quoted ATS sources as saying that Indian Mujahideen is suspected to be behind the February 13 blast in Pune’s upscale Koregaon Park area.

The ATS has submitted a preliminary report on investigations into the terror attack on February 13 and claimed to have identified the suspects who, it said, would be taken into custody soon.

“One of the prime suspects has been identified as Yasin, who hails from Bhatkal village in Karnataka. We believe he is related to Riyaz, who is absconding,” reports quoted the source as saying.
