Arvind Kejriwal to contest against Sheila Dixit

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) patriarch Arvind Kejriwal is all set to contest directly against Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the coming state assembly elections. The AAP volunteers took this decision after a meeting held in the national capital on Sunday.
“Arvind Kejriwal will fight from whichever vidhansabha Sheila Dixit fights from,” Aam Aaadmi Party said on Twitter.
The Aam Aadmi Party is said to have also challenged BJP state president Vijay Goel to contest from the same seat.
Last week, AAP also released the first shortlist of 44 probable candidates for 12 seats in the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Names that leap out of the list are those of Manish Sisodia from Patpartganj, Sazia Ilmi from RK Puram and Somnath Bharti from Malaviya Nagar.
Kejriwal has been taking on Sheila Dikshit in the recent past over inflated electricity bills in Delhi and has also accused her government of corruption.
