Alert Sounded in Bihar against Taliban-trained Suicide Bombers
Government has sounded an alert in the Eastern and East Central Railway (ECR) zones after inputs from intelligence agencies pointing to entry of Taliban-trained suicide squads into Bihar and in Metropolises like Kolkata, said media reports.
Reports said that NK Sinha, senior divisional security commissioner of the Railway Protection Force of East Central Railway, hinted in a note to superintendent of railway police at infiltration by suicide squads into Bihar and metropolitan cities including Kolkata.
“We have sounded an alert and special attention is being paid to guard vital installations in the wake of the inputs about possible attacks by Taliban-trained suicide squads,” police said.
The copies of the letter were available with superintendents of railway police at Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Jehanabad, Nawada, Gaya, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Jamui and Begusarai.
It may be mentioned that the Bihar police was informed of the infiltration of sex well-trained terrorists from Nepal last week, too, and an alert was sounded in the state subsequently.
