AI Employee Accused of Molesting Nine Yr Old, Granted Bail

Twist in the Tail:  Two Air India employees, including one accused of molesting a nine-year-old girl at Kolkata airport, have been granted bail on a surety of Rs 1000 each. The two, identified as Reza Ahmed and Benoy Sanyasi, will now appear in court on March 16, reported the NDTV website.

According to the report, Ahmed, who works with Air India as a baggage handler, molested the girl, before she boarded a Lufthansa flight for Boston.

The child, accompanied by her mother and sister, was waiting while their baggage was being subjected to security checks at the time of the incident.

When the family complained, Ahmed’s colleague, Binoy Sanyasi, came to his defence.

He too was arrested.

The victim and her family were visiting relatives in India.

Meanwhile, Air India is reported to have suspended the two employees involved in the incident.
