Advani Jan Chetna Yatra reached to his own state

AHMEDABAD: On Sunday the most awaited moment for Senior BJP leader LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra arrived as they entered Gujarat. All eyes were on the Chief Minister Narendra Modi as he welcomed the patriarch of the party in the state.

The Chief Minister welcomed Advani in a grand way and showered flower petals on him from a helicopter.

Advani and Modi come face to face in almost fifty days. Last time the two met on September 17 when Advani went to Gujarat to extend his support to Modi for his Sadbhavna fast.

It must be noted that LK Advani was to initially start his yatra from Modi’s state but later shifted to Sitab Diara in Bihar, the birthplace of Jayprakash Narayan, amidst reports that the senior BJP leader was reportedly miffed at Modi.

The Gujrat CM will accompany Advani throughout the two days that he will spend in Gujarat. The yatra will cover Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in the next two days, party spokesperson IK Jadeja said.

Advani’s yatra entered Union Territory of Daman and Diu yesterday night where he said that the 21st century would belong to India, if the black-money stashed in foreign banks is brought back to the country.

“There is huge amount of black money stashed in foreign banks, if that is brought to the country then the 21st century will be that of India,” he said criticising the Central government on the issue.

Advani said, “The purpose of this yatra is to make people aware of inflation and corruption.”
