IASOWA effort to give direction to work to serve suffering humanity: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that IASOWA’s efforts to help cancer patients will write a new chapter in service to suffering humanity and motivate society to come forward for serve people. Shri Chouhan was inaugurated Palak Muchhal Live-in-concert held by IAS Officers Wives’ Association (IASOWA) at Samanvay Bhavan here today.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that cancer is a deadly disease. Its treatment is also very costly. Reminiscing his childhood incident, Shri Chouhan said that he has never forgotten painful death of village shepherd Shera Mama due to lack of treatment. The State Government is making efforts to ensure that no patient dies without treatment. The patients who have not received any financial assistance under any other scheme are being provided assistance from Chief Minister Voluntary Fund. Its budget has been increased fromRs. 2 crore to Rs. 60 crore. He said that food, clothes, house, education and health are basic needs.
Shri Chouhan said that if people of state and country tale a resolve then any evil can be removed. He said that efforts of government only are not enough. Therefore, efforts have been made to associate society with Madhya Pradesh government in this. A number of schemes have been launched for people’s welfare. He said that only some members of society use natural resources in practical way. It is their moral duty that while utilising these resources, they help the poor or those people who do not have access to these resources.
IASOWA president Smt. Leena Parasuram informed about institution’s activities. She informed that the institution has resolved to help throat cancer patients during year 2013-14. The institution has given a life to 30 patients by helping in their surgery. She urged all sections of society to help fight cancer. Institution’s member Smt. Nishat Akhatar introduced Palak Muchhal. Smt. Agrawal conducted the proceedings. On the occasion, Palak and Palash Muchhal gave a musical presentation.
