26/11 Case: Lahore HC Dismisses Lakhvi’s Pleas against Indictment

The Lahore High Court, which is hearing the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks case, has turned down a petition filed by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operations chief Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi challenging his indictment.

Lakhvi, through his counsel, moved two pleas on Wednesday in Lahore High Court challenging his indictment in the case by a Pakistani anti-terrorism court.

The petition said that the statement given by the only surviving attacker of 26/11 strikes Amir Ajmal Kasab to the India authorities naming him was not admissible in a case registered in Islamabad.

Lakhvi had been indicted along with six others for masterminding the 26/11 attacks. The next hearing of the case against them in the anti-terrorism court is scheduled for Saturday.
