13 killed in a maoist encounter in Jharkhand

LATEHAR: At least 13 persons have been killed In a very severe encounter between Maoist guerrillas and the security forces in the forests of Karamdih of Latehar district during an operation on Thursday.

Ten peoples of those who were killed were Naxals.

Two policemen were also injured in the encounter.

The battle took place at around 11.30am at the spot which falls under Barwadih police station.
