CM PRESENTS LETTER OF COMMENDATION TO PRIME MINISTER
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented an Abhinandan Patra (letter of commendation) to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on behalf of the 7.5 crore people of Madhya Pradesh at Kisan Maha Sammelan at Sherpur in Sehore district today.
An English rendering of the letter is as follows:-
Sir, we the people of Madhya Pradesh congratulate you for establishing a new identity of India in the world through all round development under your able leadership. You are committed to farmers welfare and are working relentlessly to boost agriculture and promoting welfare of farmers.
Sir, agriculture is the mainstay of India’s economy and that is why farmers have been considered as Annadata in Indian philosophy. Any efforts for development in different fields can only be fructified by agricultural growth.
It is a tribute to your novel initiatives that Indian agriculture is entering a new era. Natural calamaities have been a bane of farmers. Sir, Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme, which is the product of your creative thinking, would serve as a protective shield to the farmers against calamities. We also express our gratitude to you for making provision of maximum relief to farmers from National Calamity Relief Fund.
Sir, we place on record our thanks for the various initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana to irrigate every field, Soil Health Cards to preserve fertility of soil and grant and training for organic farming.
You have concretized the concept of National Krishi Mandi to ensure remunerative prices to farmers of their produce. Integration of mandis on electronic platform would enable farmers to get the best price for their products. The Kisan Channel launched to educate farmers about better farming practices has already started benefiting them. We thank you for this fruitful initiative.
Under your imaginative and able leadership a new counsciousness has been generated in the country. Growth has been spurred in every sector. With renewed vigour India would make it to the top in the world.
