Zardari to Address Joint-Parliament Sitting on March 28
Pakistan Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gilani on Monday sent advice for convening of the joint sitting of the Parliament on March 28, on which President Asif Ali Zardari will address.
Zardari will summon the joint sitting of lower and upper houses of the parliament in accordance with constitution following prime minister’s advice.
“The President is likely to review the one year performance of the democratic government, the challenges it was facing and spell out his vision to counter these,” the official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said.
Zardari made the first address at the parliament on Sept. 20, 2008 after he took the office of presidency.
The move came as the country was observing several functions to mark ‘Pakistan Day,’ being celebrated on Monday.
