Yashin Malik shares dias with Hafiz Saeed
Islamabad: After the hanging of Afzal Guru, separatist groups of Kashmir seem to be in a mood of politicising this matter.
Yasin Malik, chairman of one of the factions of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), held a day long fast in Islamabad to protest against Afzal’s hanging.
Hafiz is founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the outfit responsible for many terror strikes in India including November 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Malik also appealed with the Pakistan government to take a call at the earliest about the fate of Sarabjit Singh who has been awarded death sentence by Pakistan court for plotting explosions in that country. Malik said that some people in Pakistan are demanding for early hanging of Sarabjit Singh. He asked the people not to clamour for that as it would also be akin to the treatment handed out to Afzal by India.
