Lockdown exit as per Central govt’s guidelines: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced on Sunday that a decision for lifting lockdown would be taken in the state as per the guidelines of the central government.

Baghel held a lengthy discussion with his ministerial colleagues and top officials through a video-conferencing and sought suggestions from them how to deal with coronavirus pandemic.

He heaped praise on government officials for doing Rs excellent job’ so far in handling the pandemic in the state. He also took review of medical equipments and facilities such as corona testing kits, face masks, PPE Kit, gloves, sanitizers, ventilators, isolation wards and quarantine centres available in the state.

Baghel expressed satisfaction about the successful implementation of lockdown across the state and added that it helped to contain spread of the pandemic.

Baghel directed officials to ensure that poor persons should not suffer any hardships during the lockdown period and also ensure supply of enough food grains to them at doorsteps.

Meanwhile, the number of total active Covid-19 cases in state has gone up to 21.

A total of 31 Covid-19 positive cases were detected in state till now and 10 of them had been cured and discharged from the hospital.
