Link Adhaar and Mobile Numbers with Bank Accounts

Bhopal. Bank account holders are required to link Adhaar and Mobile numbers with bank accounts to encourage digital transactions. The bank account holders can transfer the funds and can obtain information about balance through phones linking their accounts with adhaar. They can also see mini statement at any place. This facility is available in 12 Indian languages. Moreover, benefit of Adhaar based payment system can be derived without phone also.

Smart phone users can avail facilities of various banking services at home through ‘Bhim’ App linking their mobile numbers. About 2 crore people are availing banking facilities downloading the App. Digital payment will help preventing black money. It may be mentioned that a nation wide campaign is being launched by the Ministry of Electronics, Information and Technology of the Union government. Emphasis has been laid to encourage digital transactions and linking of adhaar number with various schemes. A target of 2500 crore digital transactions through UPI, USSD, Adhaar Pay, IMPS and Debit Card has been set under the union fiscal year 2017-18
