Police give clean chit to Vijender Singh in Drug racket case

Chandigarh: Punjab police on Friday give clean chit to boxer Vijender Singh in Drug smuggling case. police said that they have found a car registered in Vijender’s wife Archana’s name near the alleged drug peddler’s flat. but they don’t find any evidence against vijender.
On Thursday night, Punjab police raided the flat in Jirakpur, near Mohali and seized Haroine worth Rs. 130 crore. In International Market, estimated cost of this heroine is Rs. 130 crore.
Earlier late on Thursday evening, Fatehgarh Sahib police had conducted raids at a flat in Zirakpur town in Mohali district and had recovered 26 kg heroin worth Rs. 130 crore in the international market. The flat belongs to NRI Anoop Singh Kahlon and is in Swastik Vihar area in Zirakpur, 10 km from state capital Chandigarh.

During the interrogation, Anoop Singh has said that Vijender and Ram singh were his customer and they came here several times. Police, however rejects these allegations.

We’ve found a Vijender’s car near NRI’s home but it doesn’t mean that he is involve in Drug smuggling. However if found necessary, he will interrogate him.
