Global Investors Meet preparations are on in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL (MPINFO): Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Avani Vaish convened a meeting to review preparations for proposed Global Investors Meet – Destination Madhya Pradesh 2012 proposed to be held at Indore in October this year.

The meeting was informed that before the main programme, road shows will be held in India and abroad and seminars on sector-based industries will be organised in Madhya Pradesh. The first such seminar will be held in the form of reverse buyer-seller meet on engineering and auto products at Bhopal in February.

Apart from senior officers of the concerning departments, representatives of main joint organiser of the meet Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) also attended the meeting.

The Global Investors Meet will focus mainly on agriculture & food processing, mineral-based industries, tourism, pharmaceuticals, health, textiles, engineering & automobiles, infrastructure development, information technology, minor-medium industries sectors’ development.

Chief Secretary Vaish instructed to include Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project also in the meet’s agenda. He also suggested putting forth a presentation on ‘Industrial Scenario of Madhya Pradesh’ before investors.

Before the main programme, investors of India and foreign countries will be introduced to feasibilities in Madhya Pradesh through road shows. Seminar will also be held at Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur.

Principal Secretary Industries P.K. Dash, TRIFAC Managing Director P.K. Das, Principal Secretary Finance Ajay Nath, Secretary Tourism Vinod Semwal, Principal Secretary Horticulture & Food Processing Madan Mohan Upadhyay and Commissioner Industries Rajesh Chaturvedi attended the meeting.
