Lakshmi Mittal Tops Asian Rich List in Britain

His wealth estimated at a whopping £17 billion, NRI steel baron and owner of ArcelorMittal, Lakshmi Mittal has been named the richest Asian in Britain for the year 2010.

According to the Asian Rich List 2010, released by Eastern Eye at a ceremony held at London’s Sofitel Hotel on Friday – Hinduja brothers – Srichand and Gopichand, with an estimated wealth of £8 billion, were named the second wealthies Asians in the country.

Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Resources with £4 billion, Sir Anwar Pervez of Bestways with £715 million and NRI industrialist Swraj Paul of Caparo with £510 million were the other prominent names on the list.
