EX-CM Chouhan, Gopal Bhargav to protest against short supply of fertilizers

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Gopal Bhargav, have decided to intensify the agitation against short supply of fertilisers in the State.

Gopal Bhargav has announced to protest in Sagar district on the same issue on Friday.

The police have lodged several cases against farmers and the BJP police have want some farmers and BJP Naryawali MLA Pradeep Lariya allegedly for holding protest on urea short supply in Sagar district recently.

Speaking on the issue, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan alleged that are struggling to get even a single grain of urea in Madhya Pradesh. Chauhan the Congress government for lodging police cases against mass and BJP MLA Pradeep Lahriya in Sagar district.

He announced that he would be in Sagar district for Staging protest on Friday and the administration to arrest him.

State BJP Spokesman Rajneesh Agrawal said that Chauhan would be joined by former minister Gopal Bhargava in the Sagar district would hold a protest against supply of urea.

Congress has issued a letter of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath here on Thursday written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November urging the centre to release 2.40 lakh metric tonnes of urea belonging to the state quota at the earliest.

He mentioned in the letter that Madhya Pradesh has received reduced amount of Urea for the month of November.

Amid the widespread urea scarcity in the state, agriculture minister Sachin Yadav an important decision on Thursday saying that 80% of the urea would be sold from cooperative societies while the urea sold in open market would be nearly 20%.
