Floods hit China badly, 3,00,000 people affected
Beijing: About 300,000 people in seven cities of China have been affected as heavy rains have lashed the country’s Gansu province since Tuesday, authorities said.
At least 2,267 houses have been damaged in rain-triggered floods. About 34,100 people have been evacuated, reported a news agency citing local authorities.
In the worst-hit Wenxian County of Longnan City, the rainstorm at one point had cut off water, power supplies and communication in Bikou town. Water and power supplies were resuming gradually in the town.
