Explosions Kill 10 in Northwest Pakistan

At least 10 people were killed in two separate in explosions that rang through Pakistan’s troubled northwest on Saturday, say ,media reports attributing the inputs to local authorities.

A car bomber struck at Badaber, outside provincial capital of Peshawar, killing eight people, including security personnel and a bystander.

Officials suggest the bomber had placed a corpse inside his vehicle and blew up the car through remote control as policemen and soldiers ventured near the booby trap to investigate.

The other two casualties occurred, when a roadside bomb – ostensibly meant to target security forces – exploded in the Darra Adam Khel area, local authorities later identified both the deceased as civilians.
