BA Cabin Crew Strike Imminent as Talks Fail

The British airways is facing its first national strike since 1997 as talks between airline officials and the Unite trade union failed to reach a breakthrough to end a dispute over pay and work practices.

The strike will disarray the travel plans of tens of thousands of passengers as the airline cabin crew goes on strike this weekend.

More than 1,000 flights are set to be cancelled in the first three days of the strike and unless the logjam is broken, the employees will go on a second walkout for four days starting March 27.
